The FØØ Fenom

History
In December of 2000, I was heading home for Christmas, and I had so much new music to play for my family.
Normally I drive, allowing me to take as many CDs as I like, but this time I was flying.
Having only a few minutes to pack, I just told Windows Media Player to sort my music library by how many times I had listened to each song,
then to burn a CD of the top 80 minutes of that semester. Being the end of Fall 2000, it was named “FØØ Fenom,” and pronounced “Foo Phenom.”
Bethany and I together put out “FØØ Too,” covering the entire year of 2002, the year we got married.“FØØ3” followed.
Yes, there are many statistical concerns that would need to be addressed before one tried to use this as a psychoanalytical tool.
For one, it doesn′t necessarily reflect music we love, but music that, for some reason, we don′t skip when it comes on.
There is often music on there we′re embarrassed to have on there. But it is a fun method that produces quality CDs, so have fun!
And, make yourself a FØØ and tell us what made it on the list!
