My Missouri Ann George was never in CA. Not with 13 children. I have found out who gave your wife’s mother the information. It is not correct. He is my cousin and I know a lot of the information he gave her is not correct. His mother was not born in CA either. Neither were his siblings. You can check the census in MO and find them there.

@Pauleta: Yes, I’m a little skeptical about anyone who has genealogy older than 400 years max; but there are some real trees that far, and you may have stumbled across one. If so that’d be my wife’s side and I could hook you up with the corresponding researcher.

@Sara: If you’re the Louise Florence on my site, you’re 6th cousins, twice removed with my wife. So your great, great, great, great, great grandfather William Farmer is Bethany’s great^7 grandfather. Her grandmother’s great grandmother was a Florence.

@Janet: Same line as Sara above; Missouri Ann’s great grandmother is my wife’s great^5 grandmother. Which means you may be cousins without being “removed”…

Missouri Ann George and James Daniel George were my Great aunt and uncle. They were my grandfather’s siblings. Uncle Dan lived in Arkansas and his wife Rhoda Jane Bess George was born in Missouri and they are both buried in Arkansas. I have a picture of Missouri Ann George Mills and she was around 60 yrs old. I also have a picture of her daughter-in-law and in it are Missouri Ann’s granddaughters. One is named Ovella and the other is Faye. They were pictures that belonged to my grandfather Henry Andrew George.

Missouri Ann Owens is not a sister to James Daniel George from Missouri. They are both my relatives. Missouri Ann George married J. B. Mills and had several children. They moved to Henderson TX and you can find them there even in 1930 on the census. I don’t know where you recieved that information but, it’s incorrect.

Wondering why on earth my family and I are on your website? Comment: you must have been to different LDS centers than me (including SLC). I notice your discussion with somebody regarding genealogy in the 6th century, impossible.

Your family tree lists Mark Elmer Johnson, son of Hattie Jane Higginson and William Elmer Johnson, as being born in 1852 instead of 1952. Can you correct this?? That information has been added to newFamily Search, and his name has been cleared for all ordinances, except bapt/confirm which have been done already. He is alive and living in the Nampa, ID area.

Interesting family history. We are related.
My great-great grandfather was Carman Stringham. He married Charlotte Abrams.
One of their daughters was Cecelia Stringham who married Henry S. Wood and one of their daughters was Elizabeth Wood, my grandmother.

I was referring to the Marin Family History center in Marin county, California (on 220 North San Pedro road in San Rafael, just north of San Francisco.) But there are various family history libraries wherever you’re at. Click here to search for a family history library near you. There are, for example, at least three in Knoxville, TN. I remember one in San Antonio 15 years ago having marketing materials that said that 85% of people who walked in off the street found their family on the first day–and that was before the internet, so it seems the number must be close to 100%, including to an extent those of descents that “don’t keep records.” Nowadays most of those are computer labs with regular hours and specialists sitting there to help you (and access to inter-library loans for microfiches and books in case you get serious.) Neat places, you should visit one…
