Today is Degen's very first birthday! Yes, believe it or not, it has been an entire year since Degen was born. We're celebrating tonight by having some friends over (join us!) for cake and ice cream and a VeggieTales movie. We love you Degen!
We spent some time during January migrating our site to our new server. It's not quick, but it works. The photo gallery is up and upgraded, the pictures from the second half of last year are all updated, the family tree is upgraded and quicker, and the links page is upgraded. The stats pages quit working--rather, they're resetting themselves and are consumed with fake "referrer spam," meaning people who ping our site just so they can get on our stats page (which a primitive search engine may consider a linkback, or endorsement, from us to them.) So if you know how to help me set up AWStats, that's the next step.
Colin is starting to look for work. Click here for his resume. His companies are going well, but it may or may not soon be time to springboard. If you know him, you know that he can thrive anywhere and make anyone money. So keep your eye out, or use the links on this site when you need to go to amazon, etc. In the meantime, we've cranked up our wedding invitations business; so if you know anyone who's engaged, anywhere in the world, send them our way.
And thank you to anyone who donates old hardware or via paypal (bottom left) or springboards from here to amazon etc. via ads. In the past we've made about a buck a day off this site, which almost pays for its existence. Even with self-hosting and leftover hardware, our ISP still costs $40/mo. So if you're a genealogist who rediscovered your family from our site (happens all the time); or rediscovered Christianity through our discussion boards; or just want to play a small part in our impending biographies; do your thing.
