I love good HDR (high dynamic range photos are when you take the same photo multiple times on different settings--mostly exposure values--basically producing three horrible photos. But then you layer them and tease out the good parts of each photo.) This photo is two(?) stupid photos I otherwise would have thrown away because I couldn't get the lighting right, but then I decided to try my hand at layering them, and voila. This photo is not painted or even digitally color-altered in any way, those are all 100% natural colors, just different the strengths of the gold tones that are so subtle being highlighted by a gold filter, and the neutral granite being highlighted by its filter, then a bit of saturation, a bit of contrast, and voila!
